TGIF!!!!!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!! It is expected to be really nice here, Nana and Pappa Richmond are coming to visit and we plan a visit to the zoo! If it is as nice as they say it will be the animals should be very active which is always fun! Linda and I plan on a trip to Archiver's..yipee!!! I'm hoping they have the new Scenic Route papers, I'm really itching to get ahold of them to set aside for when Maddie starts school.

Wow, who would have known that all I needed to do to get Maddie to clean up is tell her Nanna and Pappa are coming and they can't come if the house is messy. Girlie got her stuff cleaned up in rapid time!

I can't believe September is in a few days, Labor Day is Monday!! Wow. I'm looking forward to the cool fall days and the smell of leaves in the air. Mmmmmmm.. I have to work Monday, bummer ....Johnny is home with Maddie, if I would have planned it better I probably could have managed to find someone to work for me but oh well, at least I will get holiday pay. =0P

Time to go finish getting the house presentable for visitors tomorrow!

I hope everyone had a good weekend!! Work was pretty much an uneventful one....little bit of a fiasco with getting a resident back from somewhere but because I like my job I can't go into specifics. Never a dull moment that is for sure. LOL

Yesterday we signed Maddie up for Ballet. She had to chose between gymnastics and ballet because the waiting period between the classes was too long. Had they been back to back I would have let her take both. She chose ballet..no surprise I guess, she kept yelling oh I want to be a ballerina! I was really happy when I found out that her previous teacher is going to be her teacher this year....everyone loves Ms Kelly!!! She had said last year that she wasn't going to do it this year because her hubby came back from deployment, she has a 2 y/o little boy that was in Maddies gymnastics last year and she wanted to put him in soccer and be a soccer mom, and she wanted to get pregnant right away. No surprise when they told me at the registration that she was coming back to teach even though she is pregnant. Now I just need to find Maddie some ballet shoes...that was one good thing about gymnastics, no shoes required! I'm sure this will be fun for her, shes going to have to be disciplined enough to stay calm and focused, it will be interesting to see if she can do it!

I am fighting off a cold....so today I am going to spend my day off trying to do minimal energy exertion, lol. I need to drop some things off at the library, I've done a load of laundry, if I feel up to it I will clean the bathrooms which is much needed and considering he was company coming this weekend I have to clean at least one, lol.

Enjoy your day!

A new look!

Thought I would switch it up a little bit and give the good ol blog a new look. Hope you like!

This weekend has been mostly uneventful and considering how crazy the end of my week was that was exactly how I wanted it. Saturday we woke up early to go to the license bureau, I got my new license and Johnny was due for his registration. By the way, why do the license pics have to be so horrible?

After we took care of that we came home and cleaned for a bit, yes, cleaned I said! Maddie and I cleaned and rearranged her room, she decided that she wanted a "new" room so with rearranging everything that seemed to satisfy her. Johnny worked on the garage, it is become really organized and neat looking I must say!

This morning at about 2 am there was a knock on the door, not just a knock but ringing doorbell repeatedly knocking loud. So, I wrapped up in a blanket and answered the door to find the Reynoldsburg police shining a flashlight at me. WTH? They asked for me and after confirming that I was who they were looking for they showed me a big baggie of stuff and said that my car was unlocked and had been broken into, they wanted to know if I could identify some of the belongings. I was thinking, what are the chances of me getting everything back? So they came in and sent me off to get some britches on so we could talk, LOLOLOL!!! I explained to them that my car wasn't broken into tonight that it was actually a few nights ago. They said that they caught some kid with the baggie of goodies and said he got it from another kid at the skate park. I did get a few things back, my debit card, insurance card and a few credit cards ....and they did have an IPOD but it wasn't mine....bummer!!! I filled out a police report with everything that we noticed was gone, looks like I'm not the only one that got hit up. The police said they can't pin the kid with the actual theft because he said he got it from someone else but he would be charged with possesion of stolen property. What a mess!

I got in another cleaning buzz today this time it was the basement, did some rearranging with Maddie's toys, put all of her stuff at the other end of the basement. I've been busy! I didn't even take a nap! Oh no! Hehe.

TGIF!!!!

The last couple of days have SUCKED! With a stressful situation at work and than my purse being stolen from my car (as it was in the driveway, including my IPOD) I am so glad it is the weekend. God willing nothing will happen to me at work today and I will have 2 days off to veg. I need to go get a new license on saturday but other than that I don't plan on doing anything.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Fun at the Zoo

Maddie and I took advantage of the beautiful weather we have been having and hung out at the zoo one day for a few hours. That is the best thing about having a membership, you don't feel bad about the fact that you go for an hour or so and leave. The minute she asked for a stroller I said it was time to go! LOL.

Pony Ride seems to be a given:

Touch time:

We will be going again at the end of the month with Nanna and Pappa Richmond as long as the weather cooperates!

Wow, its been a bit since I posted anything, hope everyone had a great weekend and all is well!

I got my August TSR kit, yahoo! Fun scraptime ahead with new papers, how exciting!

Last weekend while we were at my Mom's Maddie got her haircut. At first it was just a trim and giving her whispy bangs and than I heard myself say, oh cut it. My mom said "you'll kill me" ah, it's only hair right? If I don't like it or Maddie has a hard time getting used to short hair it will always grow back right? I've been saying for a LONG time that I wanted to see her with short hair, I kept finding a reason not to do it, but now that we have done it, I don't regret it at all! Maddie seems to really enjoy it, she only had flashbacks of long hair one time, the first night she grabbed at her hair and said, "where is all of my hair, I don't want to be a boy!" I reassured her she will never be a boy and that it is a cute sassy haircut for her. She hasn't said anything since, in fact with everyone fussing over how cute it is short she says that she likes it. I've noticed that she doesn't seem distracted by her hair when she is playing anymore and better yet, no more getting yelled at for brushing her hair, what a stressful battle that can be!! When mom was cutting her hair she made the comment it was a little hard because Maddie was wiggling, I told her to close her eyes and be still, next thing we knew she fell asleep!

I'm having a really hard time getting a decent pic of her with her new do, so this will have to do for now:

Meet Mocha, the newest member of our family, my mom's new kiddo!
Isn't she cute!!! Maddie wasn't sure what to think of her, she thought she was cute but doesn't really dig the whole puppy thing, she got upset when Mocha jumped on her, nipped at her, bit at her clothes and took her toys, LOL! Imagine if she had a sibling!

Ahhh, chillin baby!

Enjoy the beautiful weather, lovin having the windows open!
