I hope everyone had a great weekend!!! This was my work weekend and I think I was definetly cursed! Saturday I slipped and fell in a spot that had just been spot mopped...funny thing is (I guess) that when I fell I was carrying a pouch of supplies, cup of opened applesauce and my gigantic pill crusher and fell holding them in the same postion, how's that for talent! Although I am ok I am definetly sore...my knee is bruised but I'll live. Throughout the day however I had one of the nursing assistants graze me me with a food cart, another nursing assistant ran over the back of my heel with a shower chair, everyone was nit picking at me for stupid things...I was so ready to get out of work that day! Yesterday was hardly any better, right out of the gate as I got to work one of my residents was very aggitated, while I was trying to talk her down I got hit, kicked, pinched, clawed, grabbed, you name it..I have some pretty bruises on my arms for battle wounds, lol. Definetly a crazy weekend for sure!
Add to all of this stress of computer crashing and acting up...its bad enough that I know that I am computer dependent and addicted but add to it that hubby needs the computer for school--AGGGHHHH!!!! Crossing my fingers that today is a better day!
Nothing spectacular on the agenda today. Hoping Maddie's attitude lightens up a little today, she's been terribly mouthy the last 2 days and today she has to be mostly good vs bad in order for her to earn a movie at bedtime. Any parenting tips out there? lol

Well, I'm back to work, ugh. Why is it the first day back is so horrible. Seems like everytime I go on vacation and come back all of my people are sick and crazy, I'm not saying that I'm supernurse but ya know, seems like they are always happy to see me back!
Thank goodness I have this weekend off, the last 2 weekends have been traveling to grandparents so this weekend we are just going to RELAX!! Oh yeah, and I'll be doing some scrapping of course!
Have a great weekend!

Craft Time:
Since I am on vacation this week I decided it would be fun to go and get something crafty for Maddie and me to work on. No surprise she wanted to do something that involved a castle and princesses.
It was a little bit of an older project for her but she had fun anyways. We also made princes and princesses for the castle. Great for us that I have the sizzix dolls and accessories so she got to custom make what colors she wanted and everything.
I thought it turned out pretty cute!

Weekend Plans
We are going to Nanna and Pappa Richmond's this weekend, second weekend in a row Maddie will get to have Nanna time! She will also get to see Uncle Josh, another fav! I always wish that we didn't live so far away from everyone--2 hours for mom and 3-4 hours for in-laws. Not to mention BFF Nikki. Yuck. I hate driving long trips, and even though its Johnny that does the driving it doesn't make it any easier, lol. I know, I'm complaining.
I've been a scrapping maniac the last few days, with the LOAD challenge at TSR and the fact that I just got my new kit really helps to keep me on track. I just need to keep taking more pics! I know that I am a picture fanatic but my biggest fear is that I will run out for some reason. I'm going to start scrapping pics from when I was growing up too so that might help keep me on track.
For your enjoyment:
Have a great weekend!

Good Read:
Vanishing Act--Jodi Picoult
"Delia Hopkins has led a charmed life. Raised in rural New Hampshire by her widowed father, Andrew, she now has a young daughter, a handsome fiance, and her own search-and-rescue bloodhound, which she uses to find missing persons. But as Delia plans her wedding, she is plagued by flashbacks of a life she can't recall. And then a policeman knocks on her door, revealing a secret that changes the world as she knows it." "In shock and confusion, Delia must sift through the truth - even when it jeopardizes her life and the lives of those she loves. What happens when you learn you are not who you thought you were? When the people you've loved and trusted suddenly change before your eyes? When getting your deepest wish means giving up what you've always taken for granted? Vanishing Acts explores how life - as we know it - might not turn out the way we imagined; how doing the right thing could mean doing the wrong thing; how the memory we thought had vanished could return as a threat."--BOOK JACKET.

Daily Happening's:
I have been reading up a storm...Jodi Picoult has really grabbed my attention right now.
The Pact:
"From Jodi Picoult, one of the most powerful writers in contemporary fiction, comes a riveting, timely, heartbreaking, and terrifying novel of families in anguish--and friendships ripped apart by inconceivable violence. Until the phone calls come at 3:00a.m. on a November morning, the Gold and their neighbors, the Hartes, had been inseperable. It was no surprise to anyone when their teenage children, Chris and Emily, began showing signs that their relationship was moving beyond that of lifelong friends. But now seventeen year old Emily has been shot to death by her beloved and devoted Chris as part of an apparent suicide pact--leaving two devastated families stranded in the dark and dense pre-dawn, desperate for answers about an unthinkable act and the children they never really knew."
This was a good read! Definetly 2 thumbs up!
I have been on vacation since yesterday, already dreading going back to work and the sad part is I have another 5 days before I have to even think of it! I'm not sure what has been going on lately but my panic attacks have been sticking around the last few days, I try to work through them before I take anything, its just a horrible feeling to go through.
Have a great day!

Happy 4th Of July!
Hope everyone had a safe holiday! Maddie's fear of firecrackers is officially over. Thursday night we watched some on TV, Friday we got to see a great show at Grammy and Pappa Bri's and tonight when we got home we watched the local ones from the front yard.
Maddie also enjoyed lake time with Grammy and Pappa Bri, fishing, playing on the beach, anything and everything she wanted! Next weekend she will be in Nanna and Pappa Richmond land!
Tonight when we got home the computer wouldn't start, after an hour of working on it, rebooting, whatever hubby could think of in between mental breakdown moments of "why us" we are up and running! Needless to say I am making sure all of my pics are on back up at this very moment! I know, why is being down a computer such a big deal? Well, if you know any of the stuff that is going on with us right now sometimes it seems as though bad luck has a snowball effect in our lives, this would have been the avalanche moment!
Have a great night everyone!
