Getting Old:

Last Tuesday while Maddie was at gymnastics I hurt my ankle. She had been doing really well and than she just decided she wasn't going to sit still and listen or wait for a turn anymore. The other kids were all behaving at the moment and than there is Maddie running all over the place looking at herself in the mirror. So I went to talk to her about her behavior, one thing I have noticed is Maddie seems to be a leader of misbehaving, LOL, once she starts all of the others seem to take suit and there are to many in her class to have that happen. Anywho, Miss Maddie really didn't want to hear what I had to say and started to throw a fit, in the process of her throwing herself I saw that she was going to fall on an innocent little boy so I grabbed her and lost my balance wrenching my ankle in the process of stopping us both from falling. It didn't really start to hurt until later on that night but would you believe that it STILL hurts??? Hmmmm, another bummer about getting older, I don't bounce back from things like I used to. Needless to say that tonight when she is at gymnastics I'm not doing anything but sitting and watching, if she gets out of hand Daddy can go talk to her about it. LOL.

Our Little Mermaid:

Maddie LOVES The Little Mermaid movie and she LOVES anything Mermaid so no surprise when she wanted to dress up as Ariel for Halloween. When we brought it home she wanted to put the outfit on and wore it for 2 days in a row before I could finally get it out of her sight long enough to put it somewhere else. I at least need it to last until Halloween before she wears it out! LOL!

Why You Should Always Take A Nap:

Today when I picked up Maddie from the sitter she told me that Maddie didn't sleep a wink at naptime, she fell back asleep when I dropped her off this morning and didn't wake up until 9:30 which left her with PLENTY of energy for the rest of the day. The sitter said she couldn't even rest quietly disturbing the rest of the crew and therefore she would not be letting little Missy sleep in that late again. I knew I was in trouble when she said she didn't nap. Out the front door we went, Maddie wanted to jump in a puddle and I told her no because she had on a dress and sandals and I just didn't want to put a muddy kiddo in the car, that sparked a fit. Kicking and screaming I put Maddie into her carseat, wrestling her to buckle her in, working up a sweat to be honest. Of course as we were heading home for the first half of the ride I heard, " I don't want the school bus" (as we passed one) "I don't want to wee" (she usually says wee when we are going around a curve to merge onto 270) " I don't want, I don't want I said I don't want!" It wasn't long after that I looked back and saw here sucking her thumb fighting the urge to complain about anything else and than she gave in.

To blog or not to blog, that is the question. Seems like everyone else is doing it so maybe its worth giving a whirl. What is blogging all about? What will we blog about? Will we keep it up? Who knows, for the here and now its interesting, will anyone else be interested in looking at it? Only time will tell.
